WEI Cohort 7 Signing Day

THE WOMEN’S ENTREPRENEURSHIP INITIATIVE (WEI) LAUNCHES ITS 7TH COHORT OF WOMEN FOUNDERS

ATLANTA – October 9, 2025 – Invest Atlanta, in partnership with the City of Atlanta, is proud to announce the launch of the seventh cohort of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative (WEI)—Atlanta’s program supporting early-stage businesses through training, mentorship, and access to capital.

This year’s cohort features 15 dynamic female founders from across the city of Atlanta, representing industries ranging from technology and consumer goods to healthcare and education. The 9-month accelerator helps participants with business development support, strategic guidance, and the collaborative environment needed to scale their ventures and grow sustainable businesses.

“Atlanta is a city that supports big ideas—and even bigger ambition,” said Mayor Andre Dickens. “The Women’s Entrepreneurship Initiative represents our commitment to ensuring that all entrepreneurs have a seat at the table in the future of business and innovation. These founders are not just building companies—they’re building Atlanta’s economic future and showcase how Atlanta is a City of Opportunity for All.”

WEI has supported more than 90 businesses since its inception in 2016. The program is operated through Invest Atlanta as part of the agency’s economic development and job creation strategy.

“WEI is another way we are building a stronger cornerstone of our mission to build a more inclusive economy in Atlanta,” said Dr. Eloisa Klementich, president and CEO of Invest Atlanta. “By supporting women entrepreneurs at the earliest and most critical stages of their business journey, we are investing in job creation, economic resilience, and generational wealth that benefits our entire city. WEI companies have created over 1000 jobs for the city of Atlanta, $42 million in annual revenues, and garnered over $8 million in capital investments since its inception.”

The seventh cohort kicks off this month and will culminate with a Demo Day in 2026, where founders will showcase their businesses to investors, potential partners, and the broader Atlanta startup ecosystem.
